Marcus Joseph is an award-winning director, writer, producer, cinematographer, photographer, editor, colorist and music producer. Since a young age, he has combined music and film in captivating visuals. He began photographing classmates in 2005, and began creating short films in the 6th grade, in 2006. Overtime, Marcus began entering commercial contests and was a repeat finalist.
Marcus began shooting commercials with friends in 2012, winning his first international commercial contest for Lowe's Valspar Paint in 2013, receiving 2nd place and a top-10 commercial of the year award among several thousand submissions.
Marcus began directly reaching large audiences in 2014 through his music, and in 2015-16 shot a string of successful music videos for other artists and groups that have today reached a combined total of over 100,000,000+ people around the world.
Marcus studied film at BYU between 2013-17. He ultimately determined the faculty's vision was not aligned with his and he began developing his own unique approach to filmmaking, inspired by the greatest Hollywood directors and cinematographers.
Between 2015-2017, Marcus began shooting productions involving Internet superstars like Stuart Edge, Alex Boye, and WhatsInside, and celebrities and TV stars like Alexa Vega, Carlos Pena, and Bri Stauss. (In picture: Stuart Edge and Lindsey Stirling)

Marcus' work with his peers began garnering the attention of news stations in Utah where he and fellow producers discussed their productions. Most notably, in 2015, Marcus filmed, co-edited, and produced the music for "Dark Lord Funk", garnering the attention of JK Rowling and the Harry Potter cast.
A church missionary parody of Adele's Hello landed Marcus & his crew to discuss their production on Fox13.
Just as his filmmaking success was growing exponentially, Marcus then left to serve as an actual missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 2019, serving during and throughout the impact of COVID-19 in complete self-isolation.
